Most organisations do not lack technology strategy. They have roadmaps, assessments and slide decks that describe a better future in detail. What they often lack is the path from that document to a working system: one that is built, integrated, adopted and kept running.
That gap is where value is lost. Recommendations are handed from advisers to a separate delivery team, context leaks at every handover, and the people who made the plan are rarely the people accountable for whether it works. By the time something reaches production, it has drifted from the problem it was meant to solve.
Vitalos was founded to close that gap.
What Vitalos does
We help ambitious organisations modernise operations, build digital products and adopt AI. Our line is simple: from strategy to production.
In practice, that means the team that shapes the plan is the team that engineers it. Consulting and engineering sit together, so advice is tested against what can be built, and what gets built stays tied to the outcome it was meant to serve.
We work through six practices under one name:
- Consulting — strategy, discovery and the decisions that come before any build.
- Engineering — custom products, application modernisation and systems integration.
- AI & Data — data foundations, intelligence and AI that holds up in real operations.
- Experience — customer and user experience grounded in how people actually work.
- Managed Services — keeping critical applications healthy once they are live.
- Labs — focused experiments and prototypes that test ideas quickly.
Where we start
Most work begins with a clear question rather than a large programme. Typical starting points include a Digital Transformation Discovery, a Technology Health Assessment or an AI Opportunity Assessment. Each is designed to produce a decision you can act on, not a report that sits on a shelf.
From there, work usually falls into one of five areas: AI transformation, business process modernisation, digital product transformation, application modernisation, and data and intelligence transformation.
A practical view of AI
AI deserves particular care, because the distance between a promising demonstration and a dependable system is large. We take it in stages: assess where AI can create real value, prototype to prove it, move what works into production, and then manage it so it keeps performing. Each stage has to earn the next.
Who we work with
We are UK-first and work across four sectors at launch: Health & Care; Retail, Commerce & Consumer; Operations, Industry & Logistics; and Growth & Technology. These are sectors where operations are complex, legacy systems carry real weight, and the cost of getting change wrong is high.
What to expect from Insights
This is the first piece in Vitalos Insights. We will publish practical writing on modernisation, data and AI for leaders who have to make it work: executive briefings, engineering notes, guides and points of view.
Every piece will have a named author who stands behind it. We will not publish invented figures or claims we cannot support. Where we cite something, we will show the source.
Talk to us
If you have a strategy that has not yet reached production, or a system that needs to change without disrupting the business that depends on it, we would like to hear about it.
