About the role
Our Managed Services practice keeps critical applications healthy once they are live. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will own the reliability of client platforms: infrastructure, monitoring, incident response and the automation that reduces toil. You will work closely with the engineers who build the systems, so reliability is designed in from the start.
What you'll do
- Run and improve cloud infrastructure for client applications.
- Build monitoring, alerting and service level objectives that reflect what users experience.
- Lead incident response and write clear, blameless post-incident reviews.
- Automate deployment, scaling and routine operations.
- Improve security, cost and performance across the platforms we manage.
- Take part in a fair, well-supported on-call rota.
What you'll bring
- Substantial experience running production systems on a major cloud platform.
- Strong skills in infrastructure as code, such as Terraform.
- Experience with containers, CI/CD and observability tooling.
- Scripting or programming ability in at least one language.
- Calm, methodical judgement during incidents.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting systems in health, retail or logistics.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience improving cloud cost and efficiency.
