AI & Data Engineer

We take AI in stages: assess where it creates value, prototype to prove it, move what works into production, then manage it so it keeps performing. As an AI & Data Engineer you will work across that journey, building data pipelines, models and AI features that hold up in real operations, not just in a demonstration.

• Build and maintain data pipelines, models and reporting foundations.
• Prototype AI use cases quickly and evaluate them honestly against the problem.
• Take proven prototypes into production with monitoring, testing and clear ownership.
• Work with retrieval, language models and agents where they are the right tool.
• Help clients understand data quality, governance and what their data can support.
• Document decisions and trade-offs so the work can be run and extended.

• Experience building data pipelines and working with SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience building applications with language models or machine learning.
• An understanding of evaluation: how to tell whether an AI system is actually working.
• Experience with at least one major cloud data platform.
• Sound judgement about when AI is, and is not, the right answer.

• Experience with BI tools and data modelling.
• Experience in health, retail, logistics or another regulated or operationally complex sector.
• Experience deploying and monitoring models in production.
